The New You

Welcome to the new you!

Forget what you once were. That has no bearing on who you are now.
I can say this with complete confidence. How?

Ephesians 2:4-7 tells us that:
God is rich in mercy
God has great love for us
Even though we were spiritually dead His great love compelled Him to make us alive
His making us alive was a completely unmerited gift
He did more than simply making us alive
He raised us up with Jesus
He made us sit together in heavenly places
He put us into Jesus
Father took our spiritually dead selves and re-created us.

He gave us each a new spirit
He put His Spirit in us
He made us one spirit with Himself

Once He had made us new in this way, He immersed us into Jesus Christ. He gave us the right to be called children of God. That means that we became able to be His children and His dwelling place and part of Him, partaking in His nature. We're able because He has made us righteous, holy, blameless.

You are completely new from your spirit to your soul. Your inner self that people can't see is completely remade.

This is why you are increasingly driven to make good choices, to do good, to love unexpectedly, to be gentle and kind. These things are the natural expression of the new you. They are the natural expression, the manifestation, of the One who lives inside you; in your spirit, closer than your bones.

The passage in Ephesians goes on to say He did all this so that the riches of His grace, as evidenced by His kindness toward us

through Jesus Christ, would become evident to the world.

Recognize who you've become and walk in that truth. Christ manifested through you is the way the world gets changed for the good.
