Natural or Spiritual
The Natural Human Condition
Natural people are born of the flesh (see John 3:6).
They are separated from God (see 2 Thessalonians 1:9).
Natural people cannot experience God (see 1 Corinthians 2:14).
They do not know Him (see John 8:19 & Galatians 4:8).
He does not know them (see Matthew 7:23).
They cannot relate to Him.
They are held in bondage in the domain of darkness (see Romans 6:6b & 6:16-17a).
They are insensitive to God (see 1 Corinthians 2:14).
They are alive to sin (see Romans 6:14).
They are dead to God (see Ephesians 2:1 & 2:5).
All who change their minds (see Matthew 3:2), confessing their need (see 1 John 1:9), and calling on God (see Romans 10:13) have passed from death to Life (see John 5:24).
The Spiritual Human Condition
Spiritual people are born of the Spirit (see John 3:6).
They are united with God (see 1 Corinthians 6:17).
Spiritual people can experience God (see 1 Corinthians 2:15).
They know Him (Galatians 4:9).
He knows them (see 1 Corinthians 8:3 & 2 Timothy 2:19).
They can relate to Him.
They are made free in the Kingdom of Light (see Romans 6:7).
They are sensitive to God (see John 10:4).
They are dead to sin (see Romans 6:14).
They are alive to God (see Romans 6:11).
“knowing that Christ, having been raised from the dead, is never to die again; death no longer is master over Him. For the death that He died, He died to sin once for all time; but the life that He lives, He lives to God. So you too, consider yourselves to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 6:9–11, NASB 2020)
