Simple Acts of Love
Loving those around us does not have to be complicated. There is no formula to which we must adhere, no certification training we must complete.
Just being kind in small ways speaks volumes to those around us who have been trained by pain to distrust and ultimately expect nothing from others. Simple things like a smile, a “thank you,” a “pardon me,” or kindly holding a door, demonstrate that there’s something different about us.
In tiny ways as we go about our daily lives, we naturally spread the Love of God. People see more than we realize and seeds that have the potential to change the landscape of people’s lives are planted.
We carry Light into the shadowy domain of darkness in which the world is held captive.
Don’t underestimate the gentle and quiet Power you contain, Saint. Holiness lives in you, and He is made visible by every part of His body. You carry the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead. He calls to those in bondage and darkness with a still small voice.
Though your small voice is seemingly imperceptible sound in a world full of noise, it is heard because it is the Voice of the Creator of the universe.
