Armor that Fits

Armor that Fits

The armor of God fits.

When you rest in the finished work of Jesus, you are not exhausted from self-effort. Instead, the good news of the Gospel makes you ready for whatever may be in your path.

The sword of the Spirit fits.

The sword of the Spirit is the word of God. Jesus Christ is the word of God made flesh, and you are in Him. This is why hearing the truth of the Good News resonates with your spirit.

The shield of faith fits.

You believe what Father says about you. You believe what Father says about Himself. You walk according to the Spirit. The shield created by that faith you are exhibiting extinguishes the lies of the enemy.

The belt of truth fits.

Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life." You are in the Truth, He is your life. This belt of truth holds everything together.

The breastplate of righteousness fits.

God said that Jesus, who was completely without sin, was made to be sin for us so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him. The protection of this righteousness guards your heart because He is righteous and you are in Him.

The sandals of Gospel readiness fit.

When we know the good news that Christ is in us, we know that His grace has rescued us from slavery to sin. Now we are ready, even eager, to treat others with compassion, grace, and mercy, just as we've been treated by God.

The helmet of salvation fits.

When we know beyond doubt that Jesus is our righteousness. When we are settled in our heart that we are accepted in Jesus. When we are sure that we have an inheritance that will never fade or be defiled, we are at peace. Salvation provides a helmet protecting our mind from the lies of the enemy.

That's the way of grace. Father provides the protection of armor that fits.
