Faith Walkers

Faith Walkers

John 5 :19 says that Jesus could do nothing on His own except what He sees the Father doing.

Jesus is the exact image of the invisible God. He and the Father are one. What Jesus did on earth, He did by faith. He trusted the Father and lived accordingly. He lived and acted in ways consistent with the Father's Spirit. Consistent with the Father's heart. In the way the Father would live and act based upon who the Father is.

John 15:5 says that without the Lord Jesus we can do nothing. This is another way of saying that the Lord Jesus is the holy root that makes us holy. He is the source that produces the fruit we bear.

1 John 4:13 tells us that we know we are in Christ and Christ is in us because we have His Spirit. Being joined to God through faith in Jesus Christ, we are one spirit with Him, or as my friend Frank Friedmann has said, we are “braided into Him.”. (see 1 Corinthians 6:16-17)

Just like Jesus and the Father are one and Jesus did nothing other than what the Father did, so we are one with God and live our lives by faith, depending on Him.

Saints, we are faith-walking children of our Father. We are naturally drawn to live and act in ways consistent with the Father's Spirit. Consistent with the Father's heart. In the way the Father would live and act based upon who the Father is.

This is made even more clear in 1 John 4:17, which says that as He is, so are we in this world.

So, now that you know this,

Go.

Be who you really are!
