Free to Do What We want

Freedom to Do What We Want

Galatians 5 touts our freedom in Christ.

From the very first verse it makes clear that Jesus set us free so that we would actually be free. You may remember that in other places we're told that if the Son sets us free, we are free indeed, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. We're so free that Paul said more than once that all things are permissible.

In Galatians 5:13 we read that we were called to freedom. This freedom isn't provided so that we can participate in fleshly and ungodly behavior.

We could do that if we wanted to.
We're securely sealed in Christ.

But deep down, we don't really want to.

Deep down, we want to live free from
judgement,
performance,
comparison,
and prejudice.
Deep down, we want to be free to love freely from the heart.
Deep down, we want to emulate our Father.

Do what you really want to do.

Live love freely.
