He will Quicken your Mortal Body

He will Give Life to your Mortal Body

If Christ is in you, even though the body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness.

If the same Spirit who raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, that very same Jesus-raising Spirit will give life to your mortal body.

I have wondered for years what that means--He will give life to your mortal body.

Here's what I think.
He's in there, inside us, making it so that we are no longer under obligation to the flesh. Because His Spirit is in there making our bodies alive, we no longer have to live according to the flesh.

By the Spirit, we are putting to death the deeds of the body, the flesh.
We're learning by His teaching how to stop walking by our senses--by sight.

It's just one if the ways we are being led by God.

We're being led by the Spirit, to follow His lead and to walk by faith and not by sight.
