Tending Toward Godliness

Tending Toward Godliness

In Ephesians 4:20, Paul's tells us that Father is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we could ask, or even imagine.

He does this great work in and through us according to the power of the Holy Spirit within us.

It's pretty amazing to think that within each one of us is the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead.

Knowing this, it's hard to imagine any response other than walking according to who we are in Christ.

To do anything else is simply beneath us. It's unworthy of us.

This is why, in the midst of

pride,
roughness,
impatience,
intolerance and
disunity,

we find ourselves tending toward

humility,
gentleness,
patience,
tolerance, and
unity.

To the flesh, and to those in the world, this seems upside down.

It's not.

Give in to these promptings. Yield to them. They are from Father, from His Spirit within you, from your soft new heart and righteous spirit.
