What to Wear

In the past you lived a life of immorality, impurity, lust, and greed. You used to walk in these ways in that old life you once lived. (see Colossians 3:5-9) But you were completely cleansed, set apart, and made right with God. (see 1 Corinthians 6:11) You were made compatible with Him and acceptable to Him. (see 1 Corinthians 6:17, Ephesians 1:6)

Since that is true, if you are looking for something to wear, clothe yourself in compassion, put on kindness, wear humility, gentleness, and patience.

Walk around as if your life is hidden with Christ in God. (see Colossians 3:3) Live as though His life was the life you live here on earth. (see Galatians 2:20)

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” Colossians 3:12–15 (NIV84)
