The Word of God

The Word of God

God's word is everything God has said about us, about sin, and about Himself.

Jesus Christ is both the message and the messenger of God.

For example:

He said that we were dead in our sins and unrighteousness.

Ephesians 2:1 “And you were dead in your offenses and sins” (NASB 2020)

He said the He was reconciling us all to Himself in Jesus Christ and not counting our sins against us.

2 Corinthians 5:18–19 “Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their wrongdoings against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.” (NASB 2020)

He said that Jesus is the way to God and that His death and resurrection made forgiveness, righteousness and eternal life available to all who will trust Him and accept it by faith.

John 14:6 “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.’” (NASB 2020)

Romans 4:25 “He who was delivered over because of our wrongdoings, and was raised because of our justification.” (NASB 2020)

John 3:14 “And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up” (NASB 2020)

He said that He would take out our cold hard heart and replace it with a soft loving heart, re-create us and put His Spirit in us.

Ezekiel 36:26–27 “Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put My Spirit within you and bring it about that you walk in My statutes, and are careful and follow My ordinances.” (NASB 2020)

He said the fruit, or benefit, of that would be eternal life and love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control being produced in us even while we remain in this world.

John 5:24 “Truly, truly, I say to you, the one who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.” (NASB 2020)

Galatians 5:22–23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.” (NASB 2020)

All of this is the word of God.
All of this if found in the Bible
All of this is found in the Lord Jesus Christ
