Let God Love Through You

Let Him Love Through You

We often talk about letting the Spirit guide us, letting the love of God be expressed through us, and so on, but how, in practical terms, can we do it?

At first it may seem daunting. It can evoke thoughts of "the deeper life." We might think it involves years of spiritual discipline.

But here's the thing; Christ _is_ our life.
Our life is safely tucked in God with Christ.
He lives in us, and we live in Him.
In Him we live and move and exist.

We are so intertwined as to be one spirit with Him. This union is modeled (imperfectly, because of the weakness of the flesh) in marriage that causes two people to become one flesh.

In marriage neither I nor my spouse cease to exist as individuals, yet we are profoundly one. The sharing of life we experience goes far beyond friendship or any other earthly relationship.

So it is with God, the Spirit, Jesus Christ. Three persons, yet one God.

So how do we _let_ the life of Christ manifest through us? How do we _let_ the Spirit lead us? How do we _let_ the love of God be expressed through us?

We live our lives.
We be who we truly are, righteous children of God.
We yield to the quiet inner prompting of His still, small voice.

He's in there.
He's alive and living in you.
He's producing fruit; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, and self-control, for example.
He's manifesting Himself through you.

Trust that this is so and enter His rest. That's the easy yoke and light burden.
