Walk the Walk

Walk the Walk

I recently read this, “I'm saying how can you say Jesus is your savior if you're not fully living as a Christian. You need to WALK THE WALK AND TALK THE TALK ALL THE TIME!”

Not one person living on planet earth can do what this writer proposes.

Remember, the standard is "be perfect as your Father in heaven is perfect." (see Matthew 5:48) That is the standard God requires.

Fortunately, we are not under law but under grace. (see Galatians 5:18) Consequently, we get the benefit of the work Jesus--the Perfect One--did and the righteous requirements are fully met in us. (see Romans 8:4)

Should we live a life of sin? By no means! In fact we do not want to live a life of sin. We want our attitudes and actions to be godly. Father works in us to ensure that. (see Philippians 2:13)

We all stumble in many ways, to be sure, but Jesus took our sins away and Father remembers them no more. We walk in dependence on Jesus and His finished work.

Walk by faith in the only One who ever walked the walk and talked the talk all the time.
