The Way of the Kingdom

The Way of the Kingdom

God delivered us out of the power of darkness and transferred us into His kingdom.
(See Colossians 1:13)

His kingdom is not about religious rules, rites, or rituals. It's righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
(See Romans 14:17)

So we have great freedom. So much freedom that all things are permissible.
(See 1 Corinthians 6:12)

Even so, love requires that we not use our freedom in ways that are hurtful or cause division, or spark doubt and stumbling. Such things are unloving and beneath children of the King.
(See Romans 14:15-16, & 20-21)

The Holy Spirit, our spirit, and our new loving heart, all guide us in the direction of things that make for peace and build others up. These are like new clothes that fit us perfectly.
(See Romans 14:18-19)

That's the way of grace. It looks out for what's best for others and bears with the weak.
